My services · Psychotherapy

Three threads, one way of listening.

My work rests on three inseparable dimensions: the therapeutic relationship, bodily experience, and the life context as a whole.

The relationship first

A humanistic stance

Before techniques, there is the quality of the encounter. I draw on the stance developed by Carl Rogers: an authentic presence, empathic listening that seeks to understand your point of view from the inside, and no judgment about what you live through or feel.

This stance is not a mere theoretical framework: it translates concretely into the way I receive what you bring me, with no imposed reading grid and no label applied too quickly. It is this relationship, built over time, that is the true engine of change.

The body as language

Attention to bodily experience

Psychological suffering often expresses itself first through the body — tension, fatigue, sleep disturbances — before it can be put into words. Rather than systematically seeking a purely medical explanation for these manifestations, I welcome them as a form of speech in their own right.

Depending on needs, tools from third-wave cognitive-behavioural therapies can enrich the work, in particular to better identify and regulate what happens in the body as well as in thoughts.

The person in context

A bio-psycho-social perspective

No one goes through a difficulty in a vacuum. Your family history, your work environment, the social norms you have internalised, the resources or constraints of your daily life: all of this shapes your suffering as much as your capacity to get through it.

Trained in social psychology of health, I pay particular attention to this global context rather than isolating the symptom from the life in which it makes sense. My clinical experience in hospital settings has also made me attentive to the impact of ruptures — illness, hospitalisation, life transitions — on identity and on the sense of continuity of self.
